HARPWELL — A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a coastal Maine home, knocking the 77-year-old homeowner to the ground and stealing her medications.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department said Michael Blasingame of Bowdoinham was charged today with robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and unauthorized taking. He is being held on $50,000 cash bail.

The sheriff’s department said the suspect was wearing a ski mask and armed with a knife when he broke into the woman’s Harpswell home on June 11 and stole her prescription painkiller.

The woman was treated for a cut hand she suffered during the altercation.
