PORTLAND — A woman was seriously injured on Peaks Island on Monday when the vehicle she was riding in rolled over, police said.

Jessica Sherman, 30, was riding in a Jeep Wrangler when it turned over on Seashore Avenue. She was thrown under the Jeep and pinned by the roll bar, police said.

She was taken to Maine Medical Center, where she was in critical condition Monday night, according to a hospital spokesman.

Lt. Don Krier said the driver, her twin brother, Jeremy Sherman of Portland, was charged with aggravated reckless conduct and drunken driving.
