A typical evening at this five-course affair: Watch a film clip of Steve Martin serving a “fine” muscatel to Miss Piggy and Kermit at a romantic bistro, followed by live music with lyrics that have been changed to make the songs all about wine.

Tour de horse (barn, that is) at new winery
SAMPLE TWO chardonnays, a Riesling and a pinot noir at the grand opening of Breakwater Vineyards, Maine’s newest winery. The event includes tours of the vineyards and the winery, which is in a renovated horse barn overlooking Rockland Harbor and will not normally be open to the public. The wines served in the tasting room are being made from New York grapes until the vineyard’s grapes mature.
