HOULTON — A Maine man charged in the stabbing deaths of a 10-year-old boy and two men has pleaded not guilty.

Thayne Ormsby entered his plea to three counts of murder and one count of arson at his arraignment today in Aroostook County Superior Court.

The 20-year-old Ormsby faces three counts of murder in the June 22 deaths of Jeffrey Ryan, his son Jesse, and Jason Dehahn, a friend and neighbor, in the small northern Maine town of Amity.

Ormsby, who was arrested July 2 in Dover, N.H., is being held without bail at the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

After the arraignment, Deputy Attorney General William Stokes met with members of the victims’ families who attended the hearing.
