The annual Lewiston/Auburn Greek Festival gathered people from many cultures under one big tent for three days to make the most of the event’s motto: “Once a year, everyone is Greek.”

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lewiston plays host to the festival to celebrate Greek heritage and to preserve its traditions.

Organizers and many volunteers planned to prepare 3,000 to 4,000 meals from Thursday through Saturday for festival visitors whose favorite Greek traditions are culinary ones.

But the event also offered Greek dancing lessons and tours of the church to see its icons and other artwork.
