BIDDEFORD – Scarborough senior captain Dennis Liu’s 86-yard return of the opening kickoff set the tone for the Red Storm from the outset, and visiting Scarborough rolled over Biddeford in the Western Class A quarterfinals on Oct. 30 by a final score of 48-14.

The Storm built a comfortable 21-0 lead in the first half before an interception by Biddeford’s Nick Gagne allowed the Tigers to rally slightly, closing the gap to 21-6. But on the next Biddeford drive, Tigers’ sophomore quarterback Nick LeBlond was picked off by sophomore defensive back Dillon Russo. When the Red Storm converted this into yet another touchdown 4 plays later, the rout was on. Scarborough will next fast top-ranked Cheverus on Nov. 6.
