Navy Seaman recruits Julianna R. Krauss and Nicholas D. Ireland have recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Krauss is a 2010 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School in Standish. Ireland graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 2004.

Marine Corps Pfc. Joel T. Krebs and Marine Corps Pfc. Jessica B. Barnes have recently completed the Basic Engineer Equipment Electrical Systems Technician course at Marine Corps Engineer School at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Barnes, a 2007 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham, joined the Marine Corps in June 2009. Krebs, the son of Jennifer and Stephen Krebs of Limerick, is a 2009 graduate of Massabesic High School in Waterboro. He joined the Marine Corps in November 2009.

Army Pvt. Patricia Y. Harrington has graduated with honors from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. She is the daughter of Theresa Harrington of Arkansas City, Kan., and Chris Harrington of Standish. She is a 2010 graduate of Arkansas City High School.

Army Spc. Ryan P. McLellan Sr. and Army Pfc. Miles W. Blackwell-Orr have graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

McLellan is the son of Paul McLellan of South Portland and graduated in 1992 from Manchester, N.H., Memorial High School and in 2005 from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester.

Blackwell-Orr is the son of Thomas Blackwell and Joanne Orr, both of South Portland, and is a 2010 graduate of South Portland High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Justin M. Pouliot, a 2006 graduate of Massabesic High School in Waterboro, recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Abraham L. Aldus has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as “Operation Warrior Forge,” at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. He is the son of Gregory Aldus of Portland.

Air Force Master Sgt. Amy E. Tupper, daughter of Walter Pettengill of South Portland, is a cyber surety specialist and communications security manager with the 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force Base and at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Tupper is a 1990 graduate of South Portland High School and has been in the Air Force for 19 years. She plans on retiring in two years and going to college full time.
