Donald L. McCormack of Windham, was recently promoted to brigadier general of the Maine Air National Guard at a ceremony in Lewiston. McCormack will be the new Assistant Adjutant General of the Maine Air National Guard. He is a 1980 graduate of the Air Force Academy and flew search and rescue helicopters before being assigned to fly presidential support helicopters from Andrews Air Force Base.
Air Force Airman Charles J. Stone graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Marry Stone of South Portland and graduated in 2008 from Portland High School.
