ST. ALBANS — The Dexter man who was the subject of a huge manhunt has been located.

Henry Murdoch, 45, was admitted over the weekend to a Waterville hospital for an evaluation, according to Maine State Police. Police said it was unclear when Murdoch was admitted or when he will be released. The Fire Marshal’s Office was notified about his hospitalization early Monday.

More than 40 law enforcement agencies on Friday searched the woods around St. Albans for Murdoch, who was on bail on an arson charge. The search followed a series of chases in which local police pursued Murdoch in his pickup truck.

The arson charge against Murdoch stems from a fire at his home in January. His bail has been revoked.
State Police said he is likely to face a number of charges from the incidents on Friday.
