KENNEBUNK — State police say that four or five cars were damaged and two persons injured after a pair of moose entered the southbound lane of the Maine Turnpike Monday night, in the vicinity of the Kennebunk rest stop.
A state police dispatcher said one moose was struck by several cars while motorists said they saw a second moose wandering nearby.
The town of Kennebunk sent two ambulances to the crash, and wound up transporting two people to Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford with unknown injuries.
The accident took place around 9:30 p.m.
