Guy R. Champagne, 74, passed away at the Gosnell House surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 24, after a brief but intense battle with lung cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Guy’s name to the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough. A private family service is being planned.
Doris A. Chadbourne, 88, a longtime resident of Ellsworth Street in Springvale, died Sept. 22 at Cadigan Lodge at the Highlands in Topsham, after a lengthy illness. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Sanford First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Virginia E. Gass officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church vestry.
