BANGOR — A 35-year-old Maine woman with a history of driving infractions is facing more charges after she allegedly led police on a 28-mile chase from Interstate 95 near Newport to the streets of Bangor.

State police say Courtney Quinn, of Waterville, was charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, aggravated criminal mischief, eluding a police officer and other offenses.

Police say the chase began about 5:30 p.m. when Quinn nearly hit a trooper and a vehicle on the interstate and then refused to stop for a trooper.

The chase hit a maximum speed of 97 mph.

The Bangor Daily News says police and civilian vehicles boxed Quinn off the interstate in Bangor, but she continued to attempt to escape until police pulled her out of her car.
