SHARKS NOTES: After starting the season by earning points in their first six games, the Sharks have cooled off somewhat, going 2-5-2-0 over their last nine games. Former Boston College right wing Benn Ferriero had a four-game points streak snapped in the Manchester Monarchs’ 2-1 win against Worcester on Wednesday night. Right wing Tommy Wingels and rookie forward Nathan Moon each have a two-game points streak.
PIRATES NOTES: The Pirates, who have earned points in their last five games, carry a four-game home-ice win streak into the game. Andy Miele had a six-game points streak snapped in the Connecticut Whale’s 3-2 overtime victory Wednesday night, but rookie forward Ethan Bloodoff scored his first AHL goal and assist in that game. Defenseman Michael Stone had a four-game points streak.
