BANGOR — The Brunswick High School jayvee boys basketball team improved to 4-2 with a recent 52-47 win over the 5-1 Bangor Rams.

Derek Devereaux led the team with 22 points, including five 3-pointers, while Blake Gordon chipped in with 12.

Brunswick played aggressive man- to- man defense against a tall and quick Bangor team. The Brunswick guards supplied standout defensive pressure, while the forwards were able to box out and provide tough rebounding on the boards.

“I am proud of my players,” said Brunswick coach Adam Caron. “Bangor is a very talented team at every position. My players were able to match Bangor’s defensive intensity right from the beginning.”
