PORTLAND — Justin Zukowski scored 14 points, and Peter Donato added 11 points and nine rebounds Tuesday night as Portland downed Biddeford 61-52 in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolboy basketball game at the Portland Expo.

Nick Volger added 12 points and four steals, and Mike Herrick had eight points, seven assists and six rebounds for Portland (5-2), which took command with a 20-12 lead after the first quarter.

Bobby Cote scored 29 points and Cameron Nadeau had 11 for Biddeford (3-4).

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 60, SCARBOROUGH 39: Jordan Muller scored 17 points to lead the Red Riots (6-1) against Scarborough (3-4) at South Portland.

Tanner Hyland added 15 points and Ben Burkey scored 11 for South Portland, which used a 23-5 run in the second quarter to open a 38-16 lead.

 

SANFORD 68, NOBLE 32: Evyn Nolette made three of his five 3-pointers in the first quarter as Sanford (3-4) opened a 24-7 lead against visiting Noble (0-7).

Nolette finished with 15 points. Ryan Camire led the Redskins with 18.

 

BRUNSWICK 60, ERSKINE ACADEMY 39: Garrett Erb scored 13 points, Konnor Scarponi added 12 and Trent Anderson 11 as 11 players scored for the Dragons (5-3) against Erskine Academy (4-2) at Brunswick.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 65, RICHMOND 29: Andrew Fleury scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half as the Seagulls (2-3) took a 50-16 lead against the Bobcats (2-4) at Old Orchard Beach.

Quincy Grace added 13 points for the Seagulls.

 

WESTBROOK 54, WINDHAM 41: Alex Hazelwood scored 14 points for the Blue Blazes (4-3) against the Eagles (1-5) at Windham.

LEWISTON 53, MT. ARARAT 49: Josh Thomas scored 11 points and Donne Agossou 10 as Lewiston (6-1) rallied past the Eagles (0-7) at Topsham.

BOOTHBAY REGION 65, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 53: The Seahawks (6-1) used a balanced offense, an early run and strong foul shooting to defeat the Falcons (4-2) at Boothbay Harbor.

 

WELLS 65, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 57: Sophomore Jake Moody scored a career-high 31 points, including eight 3-pointers, as the Warriors (4-3) beat the Raiders (0-7) at Wells.

 

MT. VIEW 65, MORSE 40: Bobby Porter and Chris Montminy combined for 31 points to lead the Mustangs (3-4) past the Shipbuilders (2-5) at Thorndike.

DEERING 73, KENNE-BUNK 25: Jon Amabile, who finished with 24 points, scored 10 in the first quarter and 13 in the second as Deering (7-0) took a 34-14 halftime lead against Kennebunk (2-5) at Portland.

BONNY EAGLE 3, NOBLE-WELLS 2: Josh Bagley tied it on a power-play goal with 1:41 left in regulation, then scored at 2:08 of overtime to lift the Scots (2-4) over the Knights (0-5) at Gorham.
