Thursday, Jan. 26: Windham/Raymond’s Project Graduation 2012 presents the second and final night of Dancing with the Staff. Ten couples, all teachers or staff members representing each school throughout the Windham/Raymond communities, will compete for the coveted title of Champion! Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for students and are available at the schools or by calling Sandie at 892-9463.

Wednesday, Feb. 1: Schoolhouse Arts Center will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. at Standish Town Hall, 175 Northeast Road (Route 35). This meeting is open to the public. On the agenda will be presenting the 2011 annual report, discussing future plans, and voting on the board of directors. Feb. 1: The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands reservation system will be open for Sebago Lake State Park campground reservations only on Feb. 1, and for all state park campgrounds at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6. Campers can make reservations at Maine state campgrounds in four ways: Online at www.campwithme.com. By calling 9 a.m.-4 p.m. business days, in state at 800-332-1501; or out-of-state at 624-9950. By mailing reservations to: Bureau of Parks and Lands, ATTN.: Reservations, 22 SHS, Augusta, ME 04333. Mailed reservation requests must not be postmarked before Feb. 1, 2012. Or by dropping off completed reservation forms, which will be processed during business hours at the Augusta office. On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Sebago Lake reservations will be accepted for a four-night minimum stay only. This is being done because Sebago tends to average longer stays than other campgrounds. Saturday, Feb. 4: Second annual Chili Challenge from 1-5 p.m. at the North Windham Union Church on Route 302. Do you make a fabulous chili? Be a participant. Do you like to eat chili? Feb. 4: Royal River Rod & Gun Club, in cooperation with Sabbathday Lake Grange, hosts an annual benefit ice fishing derby on Sabbathday Lake from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the three largest fish caught and weighed. First prize is a gas-powered ice auger donated by Kittery Trading Post. Second prize is a portable two-man ice fishing shelter donated by Cabela’s in Scarborough. Third prize is a $100 gift card. Food and beverages will be available and door prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. All tickets are $15 and are available in advance or may be purchased on the day of the derby. Monday, Feb. 6: The National Alliance on Mental Illness Support Group, which is a confidential group that helps families dealing with a friend or family member battling a mental illness meets 7-8:30 p.m. at the Raymond Public Safety Building on Route 302, upstairs in the meeting rooms on the left entrance. Feb. 8-9: Schoolhouse Arts Center will hold auditions for “Steel Magnolias” on Feb. 8 and 9 at 6 p.m. at the Standish Congregational Church (25 Oak Hill Road, Standish). Show dates are April 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29. “Steel Magnolias” by Robert Harling is a touching comedy drama with roles for six women. Thursday, Feb. 9: The Raymond Republican Party will hold their party caucus at 7 p.m. at the Raymond Town Office. The meeting is a time to learn more about candidates and to interact with them.
