AUBURN — The Central Maine Board of Approved Baseball Umpires (CMBABU) is scheduled to hold rules clinic for anyone interested in becoming a certified umpire.

The CMBABU covers Sagadahoc, Androscoggin, Oxford, Franklin, and parts of Cumberland counties. Levels of play include high school, junior high school, American Legion, Babe Ruth, Senior Baseball (men’s league) and Cal Ripken. Veteran umpires are encouraged to attend as well to brush up on the rules.

The clinics will be held at Edward Little High School, starting Tuesday at 6 p.m. The test will be given on March 18.

The sessions will last two hours. Rules books and case books will be made available at a cost of $5 each.
