PORTLAND — The Portland Society of Architects on Thursday is offering a free clinic to homeowners and business owners who are seeking guidance on projects.

It’s the ninth time that the organization has offered “10-Minute Architect.” The free event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Bard Coffee at 158 Middle St.

Clinic volunteers, including architects, builders and engineers, will help participants with issues such as basic layouts, project budget feasibility and permitting issues.

Despite the 10 minutes in the clinic name, volunteers may work with participants for up to 45 minutes.

Participants are encouraged to bring plans, photos, sketches and other documentation that will help the descussion.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is encouraged.
