BRUNSWICK — A 21- year-old Brunswick man faces an April 17 date in West Bath District Court after Brunswick police say he falsely reported in August that his motorcycle had been stolen.

Timothy Fraser, 21, of 2 Weymouth St., allegedly reported his motorcycle stolen, but his insurance company notified police that their investigation determined that may not be the case.

“Our investigation revealed that it had not, in fact, been stolen,” Brunswick Police Detective Bill Moir said.

Fraser is charged with the misdemeanor crime of filing a false public alarm or report. The crime would have risen to the felony level had Fraser received any benefit from the insurance company, Moir said.
