Paul Kousky, a student at Brunswick High School, has been selected for the 2012 U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar program. “Summer Seminar is a fastpaced leadership experience for rising seniors in high school,” states a news release. The seminar lasts six days and has an academic focus. Kousky and others will learn about information technology, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, oceanography, meteorology and more.

Sarah Winglass of Bath has been selected as a Sophomore Scholar at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Sophomore Scholars represent the top 4 percent to 5 percent of their class based on cumulative grade point average and excellence in all aspects of their academic program. She is the daughter of Katie and Andy Winglass of Bath.
