CLERMONT, Fla. — The Bowdoin College softball team picked up two more wins on Wednesday to improve to 10-2.

Bowdoin defeated New Paltz State 9-2 in the opener of a twinbill before edging NESCAC rival Wesleyan 6-3 in the second contest.

Freshman Nancy Walker collected her first collegiate win in game one, whiffing three batters and permitting just four hits in the victory over New Paltz. Bowdoin pounded out 12 hits as eight different Polar Bears scored in the game. Amy Hackett had a pair of hits, including a triple, and scored twice.

Melissa DellaTorre earned the win against Wesleyan, striking out six batters in the victory. Gen Barlow had two hits, including a pair of triples and a single for the Polar Bears. She also scored twice in the victory.
