Through July 22, Frost Gully Gallery in Thomaston is showing a selection of recent paintings by gallery proprietor Thomas Crotty.
Included are several large oils that Crotty has completed since his solo exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art in 2003. Some of the paintings are the result of the artist’s exploration of St. George, with a focus on the St. George River and the coast around Drift In Beach and Mosquito Island.
The gallery, 150 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
A reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today.
