The case of shots being fired into a house in Falmouth now may have a drug connection. Two people arrested in a related raid Wednesday face charges of trafficking in crack cocaine.

Police investigating the shooting incident at 407 U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth that occurred at 2 a.m. Wednesday executed a search warrant at 1082 Bridgton Road in Westbrook Wednesday afternoon.

Inside police found 7.6 grams of what they suspect is cocaine base, also called crack cocaine. Agents with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency charged two people who were at the house with trafficking cocaine.

Cory A. Reid, 27, and Lyndsay N. Reid, 26, were charged with trafficking and Lyndsay Reid also was charged with violating bail conditions, said Sgt. Kevin Cashman, supervisor for the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Portland area task force. Lyndsay Reid had been charged by Portland police Saturday night at Congress and Center streets with possession of crack cocaine.

The two are married but Lyndsay Reid listed the Westbrook address and Cory Reid listed his address as Motorcycle Drive in Windham, which is off Falmouth Road.

Falmouth police said this morning that interviews are continuing but did not indicate that anyone had been charged in the shooting incident.

The shots were fired into the south side of the ranch-style house, penetrating the wall and lodging inside. Nobody was injured. The rented house is occupied by four adults in their 20s and a toddler, police said.

It is located next door to Street Cycles, a motorcycles sales and repair facility. Workers at the business said they knew nothing about the incident.
