THE FRIENDS of Fort Knox will host “Pirate Day” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Knox State Historic Site. Swashbuckling re-enactors from the Pirates of the Dark Rose will bring their ship, Must Roos, seen here, to the fort in Prospect for a day of cannon fire, cutlass swinging, treasure hunts, “argh”-locution and other buccaneer behavior. A pirate parade and corsair costume competition also are planned. An event donation of $3 per person is requested above the regular for t admission fee to cover the cost of hiring the pirates.
