Midcoast Youth Theater will present the oddball romantic comedy “Guys and Dolls,” performed by a singing and dancing cast of local teens, beginning Thursday at the Orion Performing Arts Center, 50 Republic Ave.

Curtain times are 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, July 27, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.

A Midcoast Youth Theater release describes the production as follows:

This old favorite is brought to life by Greg Kritzman as Nathan Detroit, the proprietor of an infamous floating craps game; his nightclub performer fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide, played by Annabelle Gardiner; and Joshua Guerrette as Sky Masterson, the gambler who on a bet attempts to woo pious Sarah Brown of the Save-a-Soul Mission. Julia Nadeau portrays Brown.

Love ensues as the setting moves from New York City to Havana and back to New York.

Mike Schuman as Nicely-Nicely and other local teen performers round out the cast.
