The Western Maine Board of Approved Soccer Officials, which provides officials to schools in York and Cumberland counties, will hold a basic soccer officials’ course starting Aug. 5.

Clinics will be held at the Gorham Municipal Center from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates: Aug. 5, 8, 12, 15, 19 and 22, with a field training clinic on Aug. 18 at a time to be determined.

Thornton Academy will hold a parent information night for fall sports at 6 p.m. Aug. 9 in Garland Auditorium. Coaches will be on hand to share information and answer questions.
