Jim Cassida, who is running for re-election to the Freeport Town Council in District 4, is a candidate who fulfills all the qualifications needed for an ongoing, competent and strong councilor. Jim has the experience, the dedication to the job, the motivation and a strong knowledge of our town and its residents. At a time when there are so many changes coming to leadership positions in Freeport, i.e. a new town manager, a new Community Services director and a new Economic Development director, we need someone with the ability and background to aid in assuring smooth transitions for these new administrators. Jim is a good listener, he is non-judgmental and he is very familiar with the workings of the council and the town manager. I know he will continue to bring stability to the council and to the town when it is most needed.
