SOUTH PORTLAND — In Maine House District 122, incumbent Democratic Rep. Terry Morrison has turned aside a two-man challenge from Republican Thomas Sarbanis II and Chris Kessler, who ran independently.
The win gives Morrison a third term in district seat covering Knightville, Ferry Village and Willard Square. Unofficial vote totals show Morrison winning 3,080 to 1,115 for Kessler and 1,002 for Sarbanis.
Kessler ran unsuccessfully for South Portland City Council in 2009. Sarbanis was making his first run for public office.
