YARMOUTH — Democrat and former congressional staffer, Janice Copper, beat small businessman Republican Mark Hough in a landslide victory to win the House District 107 seat, Tuesday night.

Cooper buried Hough with 3,217 to 2,140 for the seat that covers Yarmouth.

The seat was vacated by State Rep. Melissa Walsh Innes, D-Yarmouth, after announcing in February that she would not seek re-election for the position she has held since 2008.
