Margaret Hayden visited Brunswick High School to receive a congratulatory gift from the faculty recently.

Hayden, 21, was one of 32 American college students named as Rhodes Scholars this year. She hopes to become an anthropologist and a physician, and attends Stanford University

The gift was a framed picture of the high school with an engraved plate signifying her achievement.

“I am particularly proud of the fact that I am from a wonderful public school system that helped prepare me well. … I am proud to be from Brunswick,” said Hayden a member of the class of 2009..
