FALMOUTH – Meg Finlay and Mary Morrison each had a goal and an assist Saturday night to lead Greely to a 5-1 victory against Leavitt/Edward Little at Family Ice Center, clinching the top seed in the East for the upcoming girls’ hockey playoffs.

The Rangers (15-2-1) gave up the first goal of the game, then scored five unanswered goals in the final two periods.

Sarah Kurland, Danita Storey and Chelsey Andrews added a goal apiece, and Maura Perry made 27 saves.

Leavitt/Edward Little (14-4) opened the scoring on a goal by Danica Nadeau with 4:17 left in the first period.

YORK 5, CAPE ELIZABETH/WAYNFLETE 0: Tori Stocks had two goals and an assist, and Olivia Leroux added a pair of goals to lead York (14-3-1) over Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (4-11-3) at Dover, N.H.

Rachel Yorke scored the other goal and assisted on three others.

SCARBOROUGH 10, CHEVERUS 1: Alyssa Hulst finished with four goals and two assists as the Red Storm (16-1-1) downed the Stags (5-12-1) at Portland.

Katie Roy scored for Cheverus, her 50th goal of the season.

YARMOUTH 7, MT. ARARAT 1: Ariel Potter scored two goals and assisted on three others, and Katie Brown added a goal and four assists as the Clippers (6-11-1) downed the Eagles (0-18) at Yarmouth.

Colleen Sullivan and Lily Watson added their first varsity goals for Yarmouth.

WINSLOW 4, GORHAM/BONNY EAGLE 3: Paige Veilleux and Jennifer Poulin scored third-period goals as the Black Raiders (5-10-3) beat Gorham/Bonny Eagle (7-11) at Winslow to secure a playoff berth.

Veilleux and Poulin also scored in the second period, which ended in a 2-2 tie. Alex Lachance, Hilary Libby, Poulin and Miranda Gagne had an assist for Winslow. Jessica Cain made 17 saves.

Rachel Litif had two goals and Charlotte Smith one for Gorham/Bonny Eagle.

BASKETBALL

HYDE 29, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 8: Lutes Bartlett scored 12 points to lead the Phoenix (15-1) past the Seahawks (1-12) at Trenton.

RANGELEY 46, FOREST HILLS 32: Taylor Esty had 19 points as the Lakers (15-1) defeated the Tigers (14-3) at Jackman.

Tori Letarte added 12 points and Abby Abbott had eight rebounds for Rangeley. The Lakers led 18-15 at halftime.

Kori Coro had eight points and Dana McNally scored seven for Forest Hills (14-3).

BELFAST 30, WATERVILLE 23: Lexi Nelligan scored 15 points as the Lions (12-4) beat the Panthers (2-14) at Waterville.

Colleen O’Donnell had eight points for Waterville (2-14).

FRIDAY’S BASKETBALL

FALMOUTH 36, WELLS 35: Ally Hickey sank the go-ahead basket with 10 seconds left and scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter as Falmouth (8-8) rallied from a 29-22 deficit at Wells (6-10).

The Yachtsmen finished on a 9-2 run.

Alison Furness scored 22 points for the Warriors.

FREEPORT 54, TRAIP ACADEMY 27: Nina Davenport scored 15 points, and Leigh Wyman added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Falcons (10-6) downed the Rangers (5-11) at Freeport.

Freeport raced out to a 23-5 first-quarter lead behind eight points from Wyman.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 49, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 26: Haylee Cote tallied 18 points to lead the Raiders (12-4) over the Patriots (3-13) at Fryeburg.

Julia Martell added nine points for the Patriots.

Skye Dole paced Fryeburg with 11 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 61, SACOPEE VALLEY 40: Christina Colman scored 19 points, including three 3-pointers, to spark the Seagulls (12-4) past the Hawks (8-8) at South Hiram.

Morgan Sanborn scored 13 for Sacopee.

WAYNFLETE 75, NYA 25: Martha Veroneau scored 16 points and the visiting Flyers (12-3) built a 44-point halftime lead against the Panthers (3-12) at Yarmouth.
