SOUTH PORTLAND — Bon-Ton Stores Inc., the new anchor department store arriving this year at the Maine Mall, as well as local hotels, restaurants and tourism businesses, will be looking for workers at the hospitality and retail job fair on Wednesday.
The job fair, which will be held at the Maine Mall’s Center Court in front of Sports Authority, will run from noon to 6 p.m.
There will be more than 18 employers seeking candidates for service positions and management. The job fair will feature seasonal and potentially longer-term positions, according to the Greater Portland Convention + Visitors Bureau, which is hosting the event.
Bon-Ton, which is opening in September, will be reviewing and interviewing candidates for management positions. The department store will be hiring about 200 people overall. Bon-Ton is renovating 120,000 square feet of retail space that had been home to Filene’s and Summit Adventures in recent years.
