On Saturday, May 4, Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine, Inc., will hold a grand opening at 170 Front St., in celebration of its new expansion into 176 Front St.

To celebrate this achievement, a few of the artists that Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine supports will be in the Bath store to meet customers and present their products. Some of the artists expected on Saturday, May 4 include jeweler Gail Miller of Miller Designs, soap maker Shannon Grauer of Casco Bay Soaps, designer Tori Dyke of Tori Anna Designs, jam maker Alex Forest of Smart Alex Jams, chocolatier Kim Dagher of Savour Chocolatier and a few others.

There will be a drawing for a Maine-made gift basket and a free gift for every purchase over $50. The store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with artists presenting from 10 to 4.

The newest expansion of the Bath store will accommodate more products made by local Maine artisans. In the newest room, Lisa- Marie plans to feature an expanded line of more locally made home furnishings.

Now expanded, Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine is the state’s largest, year-round, exclusively Maine-made store. Lisa-Marie and her family support more than 370 other small Maine businesses.

Lisa-Marie opened a small shop in October of 2003 on Front Street in Bath and now nearly 10 years later is undergoing this third expansion. In addition to the Bath shop, a whole new location on lower Exchange Street in Portland was opened three years ago. Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine is primarily operated by Lisa- Marie and her family. The company provides jobs to several part-time employees.
