PORTLAND — Women, Work, and Community (WWC) offers mini-grants of up to $400 to help entrepreneurs promote their businesses through targeted marketing projects.

In the last funding cycle for Maine’s Southern Region that ended March 31, Tina Giarrantano, owner of Vincenza’s Italian Bakery in Saco, was awarded $150 for print ads, menus and window signage. Towanda Brown, owner of Creative Crafts by Towanda on Long Island, was awarded $125 for printed promotional materials. And Alex Forest, owner of Smart Alex Jams (www.smartalexjams.com) in Brunswick, was awarded $125 to expand craft show and trade show displays and signage.

The marketing mini-grant program is made possible in part by a grant from the Maine Women’s Fund.
