BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Downtown Association (BDA) will host Carolann Ouellette, director of the Maine Office of Tourism, at its Speaker Series event on Thursday, May 9, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at the Brunswick Golf Club, 165 River Road. The public is invited to attend.

In her role at the Maine Office of Tourism, Ouellette provides the strategic direction and planning for the major elements of the Tourism and Film Office’s integrated marketing programs, including advertising, media relations, international promotions, research, product development and special promotions.

Ouellette will talk about the new Maine Office of Tourism campaign titled: “The Maine Thing.” The campaign asks visitors and prospects to “Be Inspired, Be Adventurous, Be Yourself. Discover Your Maine Thing. Visitmaine.com.”

Breakfast service will begin at 7:30 a.m. There will be a brief presentation by BDA Director Deb King at 8 a.m. Ouellette will begin speaking at 8:15 and end at 9 a.m., which will include a questionand answer period.

Pre-registration is required. The cost for the breakfast is $20 per person, or for groups of four or more, $15 per person. Payments can be processed online at www.brunswickdowntown.or g or paid at the door.
