BOWDOINHAM — The Bowdoinham Farmer’s Market opens Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Merrymeeting Grange, 27 Main St.
The 40th Annual Bowdoinham Public Library Plant Sale is also taking place Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Hall, 13 School St., featuring a cake decorating contest for shoppers to judge.
Sunday, there is a Healing Hearts Foundation fundraiser at Mailly Wanterfront Park from noon to 4 p.m. to benefit Wayne Crooker and Aubrey Padilla.
Padilla, 4, of Bowdoinham, suffers from aplastic anemia, a rare condition in which her bone marrow does not make necessary blood cells.
The Healing Hearts Foundation helps people facing life-threatening illnesses, and holds special events to help with everyday needs.
