He was born May 18, 1944, a son of Patrick and Althea Davidson Pelkey. He attended Brunswick schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, completing one tour.
He was employed at Granite Paving for 10 years, later Precast in Topsham, and later retired from the Brunswick School Department after 23 years as a mechanic in 2003.
He is survived by a son Scott Pelkey of Brunswick; a brother David Pelkey and his wife Lucille of Brunswick; a sister Donna Birch of Brunswick; and two grandchildren, Alycia and Jarrett Pelkey of Brunswick.
