The monthly meeting of the Scarborough Historical Society will be held on Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the society’s museum and meeting room located at 647 U.S. Route 1, adjacent to the Dunstan Fire Station.
After a brief business meeting is held, presenter June O’Donal, author of “The Fryeburg Chronicles,” will discuss early homemaking and homesteading skills she has acquired through reading, hands-on classes, visiting historical societies and doing personal interviews.
All monthly meetings are free to the public. However, donations are always welcomed. The presentation is about one hour in length.
