BIDDEFORD – Emily Gilman scored on a 30-yard free kick to the upper left corner of the net Saturday, helping Windham remain undefeated with a 1-0 victory against Biddeford in an SMAA schoolgirl soccer game.

Kate Kneeland and Elizabeth Mycock combined for 13 saves for Windham (9-0). Anna Marie Seiler had 17 for Biddeford (6-2-1).

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, SANFORD 1: Haley DaGraca scored four goals, and Tori Daigle added a goal and two assists to lead the Golden Trojans (8-1) over the Spartans (2-7) at Sanford.

Lexi Nason had seven saves for Thornton. Aisling Tiernan stopped 26 shots for Sanford.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, YARMOUTH 1: Katherine Briggs assisted on the tying goal with nine minutes left in regulation, then scored the winning goal midway through the second overtime to push Cape Elizabeth (8-1-1) past the Clippers (4-3-2) at Yarmouth.

Sarah O’Connor set up the winning goal, chipping the ball to Briggs, who tucked it inside the left post.

Katie Clemmer gave the Clippers a 1-0 lead 10 minutes into the second half, scoring off Cory Langerbach’s pass. Kathryn Clark converted Briggs’ assist to tie it.

Mary Perkins of the Capers and Shannon Fallon of Yarmouth had eight saves each.

GREELY 3, FALMOUTH 1: Isabelle Hutnak scored goal three minutes into the game and Greely (8-2) went on to down the Yachtsmen (8-2) at Falmouth.

Kristina Volta got to a free kick and passed forward to Hutnak just outside the goalmouth for the 1-0 lead.

WESTBROOK 4, NOBLE 2: Sophie Manning and Marissa Martel each had two goals and an assist as the Blue Blazes (2-7) beat Noble (0-8-1) at Westbrook.

Meredith Podolec scored for the Knights and also assisted on Taylor Mallett’s goal.

Samm Russell made four saves for Westbrook. Shaylee Ashburn and Megan Bataran combined for three saves for Noble.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 4, MORSE 4: Jade Canak scored three goals and Emma McCormac added another as the Eagles (6-2-1) played Morse (7-2-1) to a tie at South China.

Cassandra Ray had 11 saves for Erskine. Miracle Trimble scored twice for Morse.

RICHMOND 6, VINALHAVEN 0: Kelsea Anair scored three goals to lead Richmond (8-1) at Vinalhaven.

FIELD HOCKEY

FREEPORT 3, YARMOUTH 2: Taylor Schenker, positioned at the left post, poked in the ball from a scramble to give the Falcons (4-7) a 3-2 lead over Yarmouth (4-3-1) with 15 minutes left at Freeport.

The goal was Schenker’s second of the game. Olivia Bubar also scored for Freeport. Katie Overhaug and Kallie Hutchinson answered for the Clippers.

Morgan Karnes had 19 saves for Freeport.

Victoria Messina made eight for Yarmouth.

MT. BLUE 2, MT. ARARAT 0: Sarita Candall scored twice and Raleight Blanchet stopped all eight shots she faced as the Cougars (10-2) downed the Eagles (5-7) at Topsham.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 8, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Marina Poole scored three goals, and Olivia Madore had two goals and an assist to lead the Panthers (7-1) over Gray-New Gloucester (0-8) at Yarmouth.

Juju Tardiff added a goal and three assists, and Mackenzie Sangster and Charlotte Eisenberg also scored.

Adrianna Kimball made 16 saves for the Patriots.
