COLUMBIA, N.H. — A New Hampshire man has been charged with striking a woman in the head with a sword.
Steven Austin of Columbia was arrested on a charge of first-degree assault Wednesday and was being held at the Coos County Jail on $50,000 bail. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
Police said the 34-year-old Austin struck the woman in the head with the weapon in Columbia, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was treated at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital.
