GRAY — Tiana-Jo Carter put back a rebound for a key basket and Lake Region used late free throws to pull away from Gray-New Gloucester for a 43-36 victory in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Saturday.

Carter and CeCe Hancock scored 10 points each for Lake Region (5-1).

Maria Valente finished with 14 points and Alicia Dumont had 10 for Gray-New Gloucester (3-3).

FALMOUTH 53, GREELY 45: Ally Hickey made four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points to lift the Yachtsmen (2-4) over the Rangers (4-2) at Falmouth.

Dayna Vasconcelos added 15 points and Jessica Burton grabbed eight rebounds for Falmouth.

Greely was led by Ashley Storey with 14 points and Blais Tardiff with 10.

CAPE ELIZABETH 41, YARMOUTH 28: Kate Miklivic scored seven of her 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Capers (3-2) pulled away from the Clippers (1-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Grace O’Donnell led Yarmouth with seven points.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 55, POLAND 41: Julia Quinn made a pair of 3-pointers and went 8 of 8 from the foul line while scoring 16 points for the Raiders (2-3) in a win over the Knights (4-2) at Fryeburg.

Skye Dole added nine points and 17 rebounds for the Raiders, who made 16 of 18 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Poland was led by Emily Bolduc with 14 points. Michaella Arsenault added 12.

LEWISTON 42, MT. ARARAT 31: Kristina Blais led the Blue Devils (1-4) with 13 points as they downed the Eagles (0-5) at Topsham.

Mt. Ararat was led by Kate Guerin and Sara Lamb with eight points each.

NOKOMIS 77, OCEANSIDE 50: Taylor Shaw scored 25 points and Anna Mackenzie added 19 as the Warriors (5-0) beat the Mariners (4-2) at Newport.

Makenna Brooks had 16 points, Brooke Dugan 11 and Lily Vachon 10 for Oceanside.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 50, DIRIGO 37: Nicole Hamblin scored 11 points and Kailee Newcomb added 10 as the Phoenix (6-0) beat the Cougars (5-1) at Jay.

CONY 43, MESSALONSKEE 38: Emily Quirion scored 27 points as the Rams (3-2) beat the Eagles (3-2) in Oakland.

MADISON 49, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 38: Kirsten Wood scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and was 5 of 6 from the foul line as the Bulldogs (5-1) earned a win in Madison.

SCARBOROUGH 11, PORTLAND/DEERING 3: Alyssa Hulst scored four goals and assisted on a fifth to pace the Red Storm (7-0) to a victory over Portland/Deering (0-7) in Portland.

Rachael Wallace, one of the seven other Scarborough goal scorers, assisted on three goals.

Lauren McIntyre scored twice for Portland/Deering.

BIDDEFORD 3, BRUNSWICK 1: Abbie Paquette scored two goals to lead the Tigers (6-1) over the Dragons (1-8) at Biddeford Ice Arena.

Rebekah Guay also scored for the Tigers.

Claire Mendes stopped 43 shots for the Dragons.
