SANFORD— SIS Bank has donated $7,500 to the Saco River Theatre of Bar Mills. The bank recently announced that it has provided the theater with the donation to support the organization’s theatrical and artistic presentations. “The Saco River Theatre is an important community institution, one we take great pride in supporting,” said SIS Bank President and CEO Mark T. Mickeriz. “We’re very excited to play a small role in making the upcoming year of productions possible.”

The Saco River Theatre is a non-profit performing arts center founded in 1990. The theater also hosts dance performances and concerts by local and national acts. The 2014 events begin in April with the Grammy-award winning duo Eldridge and Lage, followed by The Originals’ production of “Marvin’s Room,” by Scott McPherson, winner of the 1992 Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards. A brand new SRT website will launch in March with the full season’s schedule at www.sacorivertheatre.org.

“Year in and year out, SIS Bank has shown incredible generosity,” said Saco River Theatre President Dana Packard. “This year’s contribution is especially helpful and we can’t thank them and their customers enough. We look forward to another exciting year of theatre productions and concerts, thanks to the support of organizations like SIS Bank.”
