A service of Choral Evensong, a traditional Anglican service, will be offered by the Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Cathedral musician Albert Melton, on Sunday, March 2 at 4 p.m. This musical service will be held in the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke, located at 143 State St. in Portland, and is accessible to handicapped persons. Almost completely sung, the service will include choral music by English composers Sydney H. Nicholson, Peter J. Smith and Simon Lole. Choral Evensong is part of the Cathedral’s continuing series of musical events, Music in the Cathedral, and this particular service observes the Last Sunday of Epiphany.
