PORTLAND — David B. Janelle, 44, of Portland, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.

He was born in Biddeford on May 24, 1969, a son of Armand and Simone (Forest) Janelle.

He graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1988. He also attended ITT Technical Institute.

David was employed by Nimbus Communications for several years.

He enjoyed video games and watching movies. He also mixed and recorded techno music. He had a great love of animals, especially his cats, and feeding squirrels.

Most of all, David was known for his kindness.

He is survived by: his wife of five years, Jennifer DeVou; his parents, Armand “Joe” Janelle and his wife Simone; his brother, William Janelle and his wife Loraine; his in-laws, James R. DeVou and his wife Diane; and several cousins.
