ARUNDEL — Therese A. Lizotte, 83, of Arundel, passed away early Wednesday morning, on March 5, 2014, at her residence.

She was born in Augusta on June 11, 1930, a daughter of Joseph and Marie Ann (Rodrigue) Blais.

She was educated in Saco schools.

Therese was employed by Bates Manufacturing and other local shoe shops throughout southern Maine. She also worked for Gabrial Electronics, Fairchild and Maremont Corporation.

Therese enjoyed singing, playing guitar and making rosaries. She took care of the flowers for Little House of Prayer for many years.

She was a member of Saco Lowell Rifle and Pistol Club and won the state title in marksmanship. She also volunteered at St. Andre’s Healthcare for several years. She sponsored many deprived children in foreign countries, donated to Marian Helpers and many other charities to help others. Mrs. Lizotte was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Michel H. Lizotte on Oct. 6, 1999; three brothers, Victor, Romeo and Valmond; and two sisters, Rose Cloutier and Gisele Perreault.

She is survived by: three sons, Michael V. Lizotte of Arundel, Philip A. Lizotte and his wife Debbie of Wells and Paul R. Lizotte and his wife Joan; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in the spring in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Bartlett, N.H.
