Edmond Powers

ALFRED — Edmond Lawrence Powers, 88, resident of Alfred and Kennebunk, passed away on March 6, 2014 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in California on Aug. 3, 1925.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific. Throughout most of his life, Edmond was employed as a civilian government contractor.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Brenda (Hilton) Powers; and his stepson, Alan Wayne Hall.

Edmond’s family would like to thank the staff of Huntington Commons and Hospice of Southern Maine for their kindness and care. A graveside service will be announced in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Kennebunk. Arrangements are by Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Homes, www.dcpate.com.
