Jean Guy Robitaille

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Jean Guy Robitaille, 77, of Old Orchard Beach, died peacefully on March 2, 2014 at his home, with his family by his side.

He was born in Fort Kent on Aug. 20, 1936, the son of Omer and Jeanne (Pellerin) Robitaille.

On May 11, 1957, he married Jeanne Morin at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.

Known by many as “Guy,” he worked as a heel seat laster at various shoe shops and did carpentry work for many years before retiring in 1993.

Guy enjoyed walking the beach and feeding the seagulls. He also was an avid fan of WWE wrestling. He will be remembered for his mischievous ways.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Jeanne Robitaille; two sisters, Rita Charette and Rachel Sherard; and one brother, Roger Robitaille.

Guy will be sadly missed by: his wife of 57 years, Jeanne Robitaille; one son, Guy Richard Robitaille of Saco; two daughters, Debra Ann Morin and her husband Donald of Biddeford and Valerie June Robitaille and her life partner Michael Grenier of Sanford; three grandchildren, Brandie Morin of Saco, and Amber Robitaille and Michael Grenier of Sanford; and four sisters, Rose and her husband Dick Hebert, Noella and her husband Tommy Mouzas, Hazel and her husband Jerry Plourde, all of Biddeford, and Carmen and her husband Roger Huot of Leominster, Mass.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
