BIDDEFORD — Marie E. L’Heureux, 72, of Biddeford, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Andre Health Care Facility in Biddeford.

Marie was born on May 19, 1941 in Ayer, Mass., the daughter of Albert and Yvonne (Doiron) Gionest.

She graduated from Ayer High School, Class of 1959.

She was employed as an administrative assistant with the Department of Youth Services for the State of Massachusetts, retiring in 1991.

She married the love of her life, Conrad L’Heureux, in 1985.

Marie was a parishioner of the former St. Mary’s Church in Biddeford, volunteering for Christmas fairs, fundraisers, yard sales, luncheon staff and anything the church needed.

She enjoyed helping people and spending time with her friends. She also liked doing arts and crafts and watching QVC.

Marie was preceded in death by: her brother, Robert Gionest, who passed away in 2001.

She is survived by: her husband, Conrad L’Heureux of Biddeford.

Marie is also survived by: two nephews, Jason Gionest and his wife Jessica and their two children Ryan and Kiley, and James Gionest and his wife Erin and their two children Madison and Colby; several cousins; and a great many lifelong friends.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford, followed by a luncheon for guests at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
