NAPLES – Auditions for Lake Region Community Theatre’s presentation of “Annie” will be held at Lake Region High School in Naples on Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12.

Auditions for adults and children ages 8 and older for parts including New Yorkers (rich and poor: shoppers, theatergoers, cabbies, busker, businessmen, hotdog cart, cops, moms & kids, tourists, etc.) will take place on Friday from 6:30-9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. You only need to attend one audition date.

Prepare a song that best shows your vocal abilities. Bring the sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to dance and wear clothing that will not limit your movement. Also, wear appropriate shoes (no sandals, flip flops, crocs or bare feet). Plan to stay and read excerpts from the script.

Those seeking the parts of Annie and the Orphans should attend singing auditions from 12:30-2 p.m. and dance auditions from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. To audition for the role of Annie, you must be 8-13 years old. Plan to sing the last 16 bars of “Tomorrow.” Similarly, 7- to 13-year-olds are welcome to audition for the Orphans and should plan to sing the last 16 bars of “Hard Knock Life.”

Auditions for Annie and the Orphans must be scheduled. Call Pam at 671-3015 to arrange a time. Show dates include July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20.

Rehearsals will be held on Mondays and/or Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will begin shortly after Director Mary Bastoni has made her casting selections. A tentative rehearsal schedule will be provided at auditions.
