Author Jean Flahive will talk about her recent historical novel “Railroad to the Moon: Elijah’s Story.”
It’s set in the Civil War period and weaves a tale around Oren Cheney, a Freewill Baptist and founder of Bates College, who helps runaway slave Elijah fulfill his dream.
Flahive will be joined by Pastor Trent Boyd, who will add his historical perspective on Cheney.
